25 Glorious Years of Holistic Education and Peace: Darshan Education Foundation rings in silver Jubilee celebration.

New Delhi, Oct. 6: Darshan Education Foundation (DEF), one of India’s premier educational institutes, ringed in 25 glorious years of love, peace, and holistic education, at a glittering event at the Talkatora Stadium on Thursday evening.

It was a day to remember as dignitaries from the world of education, principals, students, teachers, and other imminent members from all over India gathered for a gala celebration of holistic education and value-based learning, that underlined the spirit of education that the premier institute has been upholding since the last 25 years.

Darshan Education Foundation, a name synonymous with excellent academics and value-based education, was conceptualized and incepted in 1995. Over the last 25 years, Darshan Education Foundation has provided students with a holistic, all-round education that focuses on their academic and moral progress.

Today, with its fleet of 23 Darshan Academies in India and one in Colombia, South America, Darshan Education Foundation is a symbol of holistic education, peaceful learning, and all-round growth.

The programme was presided over by H. H. Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, Founder-Chairman of Darshan Education Foundation, whose unparalleled vision has been the guiding force behind the remarkable 25-year journey.

“As we speak of schools, we speak of education and excellence in the outside activities. Through Darshan Academies, which began in 1995, our vision was to instil traits that would help children realize their connectedness and oneness,” said Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj on the momentous occasion, underlining the importance of peaceful education and inculcating ethical values in students. “

The key is to open students’ horizons so that they can deal with the diverse cultures and demands of today. We are all souls filled with the love and light of God and it is this connectedness that children are encouraged to recognize. We need to experience the sparkle and joy within, which is innate to our beings” added Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj.

Speaking on the day’s theme, “25 Years: Sparkling Souls Spreading Peace”, top dignitaries from the world of education and various other fields such as H.E. Freddy Svane, Ambassador of Denmark, H.E. Dr Roger Gopaul, High Commission of Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and Prof. Prabha Shankar Shukla, Vice-Chancellor, North-eastern Hill University, Shillong; reflected on the importance of inculcating the core tenets of value-based learning in students besides academic excellence, leading to their overall growth.

Dr Harsh Vardhan, former Union Health Minister, spoke about the need to provide consistent encouragement to students to become good human beings. “The children are already sparkling in your guidance and leadership,” Dr Harsh Vardhan said acknowledging the path-breaking work done by Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj in the field of education and learning.

“He (Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj) is the epitome of perfect education and an inspiration to all. Attaining a degree is fine, but being thoroughly educated is different, and that is what Darshan Education Foundation has been doing over the years,” the former minister added.

On the occasion, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj released his new book, “The Math of Sharing” and the Souvenir 2022, a special edition magazine displaying students’ creativity, innate talent and skills at Darshan Academy schools.

The program also included scintillating cultural performances by various students of 23 Darshan Academies, who all gathered for the grand spectacle, followed by award ceremony to these students who scored cent percent result in any subject at CBSE Examination 2021-22 and also to the National winners in the field of Academics, Arts or Sports.

The celebration ended with a vote of thanks after a group photograph to commemorate an uplifting evening of peace and unity through the powerful means of education and spirituality.
